Devon County Council

Inspiring People were commissioned to do the following:

  • Design, develop and deliver a management programme for around 200 Mangers, Team Leaders and Supervisors (it was called Managing a Great Customer Experience)
  • Design and develop a one-day programme that could be delivered in-house (Delivering a Great Customer Experience) for every type of staff member regardless of the role they carry out
  • To train in-house trainers to deliver the programme
  • Coach the first eight Institute of Customer Service Innovations practitioners through their awards successfully

We worked with Devon on this project from 2005 – 2007 with very good results and feedback including the following from Judith Davey – Head of Organisational Development.

“Caroline designed and then delivered customer service training programmes for front line staff and managers from various professions and disciplines over a period of 18 months.  The courses were always fully booked and the waiting lists were long!  Caroline also coached a number of staff to achieve Institute of Customer Service Awards.  Caroline’s services played an important role in helping communicate the Council’s vision for customer services and helped people to improve the service they deliver.”

Since 2007 we continue to work with Devon from time to time including:

  • Smaller roll outs of the Manager’s programme within the Children and Young People’s Service
  • Workshops to deal with challenging customer situations and communication - again in the above division
